THE Program.
We are building something great at Olentangy Berlin High School. Established in the fall of 2018, the Berlin Choirs have quickly become a dynamic team of musicians serving their school and central-Ohio community. The program is comprised of singers enrolled in five distinct ensembles - Treble Chorus, Bass Chorus, Advanced Treble Ensemble, Advanced Symphonic Mixed Choir and The Blue Notes Acapella Pop Choir. In just its first year, the choir program received superior ratings at OMEA State Adjudications and qualified multiple students for All-State Choir. We pride ourselves most in the well-roundedness of our student-musicians, who also serve as leaders in the classroom, the community, and a wide array of athletics, clubs, and activities.

Our Director
Thai Sribanditmongkol ("Mr. S") is proud to serve as the very first director of vocal music at Berlin High School, having arrived at Olentangy Local Schools in 2015. A graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School, he attended Otterbein University in Westerville, OH, where he received a Bachelor of Music Education degree. He completed his work at The Ohio State University for his master's degree in educational administration in the spring of 2016.
Previously, Thai served for six years as the vocal music director 6-12 at Heath City Schools, one year as vocal music director 6-8 at New Albany Middle School, and three years as the vocal music director 6-8 at Olentangy Orange Middle School. Thai is an active adjudicator and currently serves on the OMEA Adjudicated Events committee as the Vocal Affairs Chair. He enjoys spending his free time traveling, exploring, and dining with his wife Mallory, daughter Nora, and dog Lucy.

Our Accompanist
Ashley Brooks Wise is delighted to be a part of the performing arts program at Olentangy Berlin High School! She is an accomplished educator, entrepreneur, and an award-winning musician. Ashley is a native of Jackson, TN and earned a BM in Piano Performance at Middle Tennessee State University and an MM in Piano Pedagogy from The University of Tennessee.
Ashley is very active in her local school and music community. She serves on the executive board of both the district and state levels as VP of Teacher Activities for the Ohio Music Teachers Association. As owner of Wise Notes, Ltd., Ashley teaches, serves throughout the city and beyond as a collaborative pianist, presenter and talent coach. Her family music group, The Wise Channel, also contributed to the GRAMMY® Nominated Best Children’s Album with the One Tribe Collective. Ashley believes in the power of music and uses it as a vehicle to connect and promote positivity with those around her.
